Dear Damen Robert,
The shit you say sometimes kid...
Mommy and Daddy had a pretty bad scare yesterday. We had our anatomy scan for Kian. The tech thought she saw some very scary things in the images. We got sent to a specialist today and it turns out everything is perfectly fine. In fact, come August, you will have a perfectly happy, healthy baby brother. He looks just like you in the pictures we got.
On our way home from the appointment we stopped and got fast food. We were sitting down eating with Great Gram. Out of nowhere you turn to me with a sheepish grin and whisper, "You're a horrible excuse for a mother."
Wait wait wait, WHAT?!
I calmly asked you why you would say something like that. (Usually it's because so and so said it, or you saw it on TV.)
"You didn't get me a Sprite."
...
Your intelligent little brain is really scary sometimes. You hear these things and then work them through your head, trying to find out real life ways to use them. You constantly do this with EVERYTHING you hear that is new to you.
I'm thinking somewhere, maybe school or outside or on TV, you heard someone say this. You probably waited hours or even days trying to think of ways to use it.
Oh well.
We're in a rough patch. You're getting a little new found attitude and it's not meshing well with our picture perfect, sweet baby boy picture we have of you.
No matter what, I love you forever baby boy,
Mommy
