We were just out jumping on the trampoline, being crazies. You were chasing me trying to stick a quarter in my pocket. Somewhere in the chase it went bad, and your nose collided with my ear. You went down gripping your poor face. When I asked if you were okay, you told me "It was an accident Momma, so my nose will be alright. Let's jump again."
Really?
You just basically got your face infused on my giant metal earrings at near light-trampoline speeds. And your nose will be alright?
You're so brave and sweet. You fought back the tears that were welling up in your eyes and the jumping went on. That is, until I persuaded you back inside with a popsicle.

November 23rd, 2012
Dear Damen Robert,
Yesterday we had Thanksgiving at two different places. First we had a little party and gram's house with just us, grandma and papa. After that we went over to aunt Lisa's house. Basically mommy's whole side of the family was there. You spent the whole afternoon running in a pack with your cousins. It was so cute, you're all about the same size. Bella, Cailyn, Tatum, and you all ran around the yard for hours. You were finding balls, digging in the rocks, and causing ruckus.
At one point we turned around and you were all up on a little hill swaying and singing songs. Where was the video camera!?
We headed home pretty late and you hadn't had a nap. You said, "That was so much fun." and not another peep was heard. I turned around two minutes later and you were passed out completely. I hope you have memories from this Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving.
This Thanksgiving I'm thankful for you. I'm thankful for your daddy, for your baby sister. I'm thankful that in less than three weeks we will be setting sail and moving into our own apartment. It's going to be a big change for you, but I know that you will handle it like a champ. I love you so much mister. Even though you put me in jail this morning!

Dear Damen Robert,
I hope I tell you how amazing you are every single day. I know I'm a little crazy sometimes, and my moods can change so suddenly, but no matter how manic or cranky I am I love you so incredibly much. You are my knight in shining armor, my hero. Your smile and personality light up my life consistently. Even when you're mad or sad, I can look in your eyes and suddenly everything is okay.
