Your grandpa Jason was a good guy. He loved you so much, and I have NEVER heard him laugh more than when he was hanging out with you. He always came over and babysat you while I went to Dr's appointments or work. You have his dimples. You have his eyes. You have his funny personality.
Sitting in the bath a couple weeks ago you were telling me about the last time you saw him. We were bowling with daddy, great grandma, and grandpa Jason. He helped you bowl and played race cars with you. (You were dragging him back and forth between the lanes and the driving games. "Come on grandpa, come on!") You don't understand right now why mommy is so sad when you remember him.
It has been exactly a month since he took his life. He was very sad, and that overpowered how he saw life. What I want you to know is how much he absolutely loved you. The two years you two had together were so special and so amazing. You guys were best buddies when you were together. You have two angels with you now, they will be with you always. Even though you didn't really get to know your grandpa and great grandpa very well, the love both of them had for you will be with you the rest of your life.
I love you Damen, you are the light of my life and I want you to know your smile and joy has been getting me through this time okay. You make mommy so happy. I want to thank you for that.
